ADRA Australia is seeking a suitable person with drive, expertise and vision to inspire and lead its International programs team to address these needs in new and effective ways.

The Program Senior Manager – International Partnerships, is responsible for:
1. Building and maintaining a highly competent and motivated team of Australian based Programs staff to professionally manage relationships and commitments with International Partners using a Values Based approach.
2. Overseeing updates to ADRA Australia’s program cycle management system to ensure it supports the implementation of high quality and innovative programming by program partners while meeting International standards and ADRA’s internal and external compliance commitments.
3. Leading program compliance to ensure internal and external policies and compliance requirements are adhered to by all implementing partners: including in the areas relevant for DFAT Accreditation, ACFID Code of Conduct, safeguarding (Child protection and PSEA), security, risk and counter terrorism.
4. Attracting appropriate financial and other resources from various sources, including Seventh-day Adventist Church institutions, departments and members as well as the Australian Government, private institutions, and private business, in support of ADRA Australia’s program activities.
5. Supporting the Director of Programs in providing evidence based strategic leadership for ADRA Australia’s International programs in response to the changing development context.
6. Contributing relevant information as well as practical and forward thinking advice to support decision making on ADRA Australia’s ProCom.

1. At least 4 years’ experience in international development.
2. Proven ability to build effective and collaborative teams.
3. Program and project management experience, including designing, budgeting, planning, reporting and financial analysis at a portfolio level.
4. Proven ability to manage day to day operations within strict deadlines and under time constraints.
5. Masters level Degree in International Development, or related discipline, and/or proven relevant field experience.
6. Willingness to work within a Christian ethos and consistent with the values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
7. Ability to contribute strategically to innovative practice, develop high quality program designs, and engage in learning processes constructively.
8. Advanced level of written/verbal English communication skills, and computer literacy skills.
9. Ability to travel on a regular basis (up to 100 days per year)

1. Familiarity with compliance requirements of DFAT including the ANCP accreditation process.
2. Credentials in training and development
3. A technical speciality within the areas of health, education, or livelihoods.

At the time of application the successful applicant will already have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
