The Executive Assistant to the Vice-President (Quality & Strategy) provides high-level administrative and project management support whilst acting as personal and confidential assistant to the Vice-President (Quality & Strategy). The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a similar environment, exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to multi-task, problem solve, and to work independently.

• Must demonstrate support for Avondale’s Mission, Vision, and Values and be able to provide a role model in a strong Christian and ethical manner consistent with Seventh-day Adventist Church principles.
• Recognised studies and/or equivalent experience in business administration, secretarial or similar disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in a senior executive assistant role
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills (the nature of the role demands ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to interact diplomatically with a range of internal and external stakeholders)
• Excellent project coordination and high-level organisational skills including demonstrated ability to multi-task and reflect adaptability and resilience
• Ability to perform in a digital environment with excellent MS Office skills and evidence of high level performance with excel
• Manage multiple tasks on time, within budget and with required accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, exercise good judgment and initiative, be open to learning and development and demonstrate to work independently
• Cooperate with all occupational health & safety policies and procedures related to the work being undertaken and ensure that their actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others at the College. Promote a safe work place and identify unsafe practices.
